Polychrome is a Kansas City arts journal that crosses disciplines, cultures, and barriers to open a dialogue into the kaleidoscope of visual expression.
Polychrome is a UMKC student-run journal, which promotes open inquiry, thoughtful reflection, and sustained dialogue. A connector between multiple disciplines and creative media, it aims to take the pulse of the Kansas City art communities and explore its confluences with the art world at large. We seek to foster a dynamic and inclusive forum, which offers multifaceted perspectives on contemporary issues and inspires thought-provoking conversations and collaborations.
We welcome submissions from artists, poets, musicians, performers, philosophers, critics, and historians, both inside and outside academia.
